The Sisterhood is a place to bring your cup of coffee to. Heck, bring the whole pot :). Sit down, relax, and fall in for a while. No divas or meanies allowed. It's about boy brain, kiddos, food, one crazy labrador, autism and a cat in recovery from a back tire incident. Oh the places you'll go :)

Hello to you 🙂

Truthfully, this blog is a mish-mosh of a whole lot of things…just like life.  If you turned me into a laundry list then it would simply read:

  • daughter,  mother, sister.
  • beholding to all things chocolate and coffee.  No vanilla please.
  • Southern food is intrinsic to my being.  Hold the onions and syrup please.
  • 60’s American muscle cars are real cars.  Fancy-pants cars are not.
  • No bling bottom britches if you are over 40.  It’s just wrong.
  • Divorce will never be easy…just try to keep composed in the process.
  • No cosmetic surgery. EVER.
  • I write faster than I can edit.  Apologies in advance to you all.
  • Life is hard so make sure to choose friends wisely.
  • High heels are good in theory but not in practice.
  • The best people are the ones who have gotten a little banged up in life.
  • Life is tough enough…there is no room for judgement in The Sisterhood.
  • Autism is an adventure with sparkle and mud. Give attn to the good stuff.
  • Biscuits, cookies, cake and pie are my Kryptonite. No fruit fillings please.

Life is hard for all of us and though everyone may have a different story and struggle, we’re really all the same.  Life is a wild, wild ride and it’s good to have a solid community around you in the tough moments.   The Sisterhood is place to fall into, to relax within and it’s a place to spread a little kindness and laughter on the days when both fall short.  Because, mostly, I am a mom and a friend and that is what we moms and friends do….we try to make the place a little kinder and gentler than when we found it.

Whatever is on your plate today, add a little coffee to it and sit for a while.  Rest and relax and know you are not alone in your fight.  We’re all in this together so come along and share the adventure with us.  I assure you, if nothing else, there will be giggles!!

You’ve had a busy life so far!

  2. I work hard to reign in the chaos :). I like adventure and I don’t care for regrets so I try hard to fill adventure bucket and keep the regrets bucket empty. Life is more fun that way, right? Thanks for stopping by. Loved your running blog. You are pretty amazing. I am sending you lots of good wishes for your upcoming run!!
